ÖZET

The report, published under the theme of “Earthquake and its effects”, examines the demographic effects of the February 6-7 earthquakes and measures the psychological effects of the earthquake on the society with the Impact of the Event Scale. In addition, the perceptions and attitudes of the society towards the state in disaster management and the earthquake preparedness of the respondents regarding the building they live in are analyzed.

KONDA Research has been conducting a series of political and social surveys called BAROMETER every month since 2010. In addition to the standard questions on demographic characteristics, political preferences and economic expectations that we regularly ask in each BAROMETER survey, we also ask questions about the public's view of the issues that are on the public agenda at the time and to measure their perceptions and expectations in different areas. The survey, the 140th in the Barometer research series, was conducted on March 4-5, 2023 in 190 neighborhoods and villages of 122 districts, including the central districts of 32 provinces, by face-to-face interviews with 3568 people in their households.
